Business Summary:
The Financial Services Portfolio Manager develops and executes credit card portfolio strategies, collaborates with cross-functional partners, and oversees marketing efforts to increase cardholder utilization. This role optimizes card use across various distribution channels in collaboration with the card issuer, AAA clubs, and preferred partners, and is responsible for all customer lifecycle marketing and customer journey initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides analytical perspective for account performance, portfolio trends, and customer behavior. Owns KPIs of existing cardholder including engagement driving ‘top of wallet’ usage.
- Drives promotional campaigns through strategic partnerships that reward members for cardholder usage (e.g., AAA Travel, Hertz, TaxAct).
- Develops strategies that turn insights from various research and analytics projects into actionable tactics that drive increased Cardholder engagement and retention.
- Ensures accurate measurement of campaign performance and portfolio impact by working across internal and bank analytic resources.
- Over see cardholder experience in collaboration with issuing banks and AAA clubs.
- Monitors key metrics utilizing reporting tools to identify growth opportunities and drive plans for solutions.
- Directs the creative strategy, execution and implementation of all existing cardholder marketing material with multiple stakeholders and vendors.
- Identifies, develops, implements and manages integrated multi-business line marketing opportunities.
- Identifies best practices and transfers knowledge to/from clubs; secures marketing analytical tools and reports for clubs and manages marketing/design consultant relationships.
- Develops annual program marketing plans in conjunction with partners.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements, Competencies and Certifications

- Knowledge of financial services marketing fundamentals and advanced marketing techniques, public relations and communications skills. Affinity marketing a plus.

- Proficient at using Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Teams), project management software tools.
- Strong client management, collaboration, consensus building, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a matrixed environment.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, business management or related field required.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in financial product portfolio management, including credit card-specific marketing.
Hiring Range: $78,040 - $98,330
This position is also eligible for participation in AAA, Inc.'s Annual Incentive Plan.
