Business Summary:
The Managing Director, Insurance will collaborate with our existing AAA clubs as the executive-level subject matter expert in our lines of insurance specifically (Home, Auto, and Life), including sales, products, benchmarking, and industry trends. This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring a blend of in-office 3 days and 2 days remote work. However, for the right candidate with the ideal skill set and experience, a fully remote arrangement would be considered.
Duties & Responsibilities:
As the representative of AAA, Inc., you will serve as the subject matter expert in insurance products, market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks. Your role will involve analyzing the potential impact of these factors on AAA and its insurance product lines, assessing threats to existing strategies, and identifying new growth opportunities.
- Participates in executive-level meetings, discussions, and roundtables with AAA club officers and executive leadership.
- In collaboration with club executives, leads the management of AAA, Inc.’s co-branded credit card and financial products programs and partnerships, including program governance, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis. Maximizes program returns for clubs and members.
- Oversees the forecasting and analyses related to developing and implementing new financial services products and initiatives. Ensures accuracy of financial information, trends, and variances and responds to business challenges and opportunities.
- Collaborates with clubs and partners on developing financial products, discount program targets, and marketing plans.
- Develops and maximizes relationships with partners and suppliers to increase member benefits, enhance brand equity, and add collateral income for clubs.
- Grows the product lines by proactively positioning financial services to penetrate existing markets better. Strategizes and directs the marketing of product messaging, content, and campaigns.
- Oversees product line management by ensuring product features remain competitive and makes enhancements as appropriate.
- Directs the response to internal and external product-related issues as they arise, serving as the critical executive point of contact.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to club officers and executive leadership to drive informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Negotiates contract agreements, modifications, and amendments and ensures compliance with all contractual partner agreements.
- Oversees financial and insurance services data and analytics management to grow co-brand credit card program, identify emerging product opportunities, and deliver greater returns for clubs.
- Stays abreast of financial services industry trends that affect AAA, Inc. and the financial services product line, including threats to existing strategies and growth opportunities.
- Supervises work output, performance, and conduct of one or more Associates in alignment with AAA’s ethical standards.
Requirements, Competencies, and Certifications:
- Current, in-depth knowledge of personal insurance with a marketing bias, entrepreneurial spirit, and collaborative approach to accomplishing goals in key result areas.
- Thorough knowledge of consumer behavior.
- Successful negotiation of consumer value-based partner relationships.
- Applied strategic planning experience and consensus-building solid skills and successfully met business and financial targets.
- Proficient in negotiation and exceptional in written, verbal, and presentation communication.
- Proven ability to foster productive relationships with peers, subordinates, and business partners.
- Working knowledge of digital communication channels and current consumer-level technologies.
Education & Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have ten (10) years of extensive experience and technical knowledge of Consumer Insurance products (Auto, Home, and Life) and services, including market dynamics and regulatory environment.
- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline is required.
Hiring Range:
- $154,830 - $198,180
- This position is eligible for participation in the AAA, Inc. Annual Incentive Plan.
