Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support and excellent customer service. This position involves managing front desk duties, handling phones, helping customers with metal, weighing in/out metal and wire, paying customers and assisting with various clerical tasks. Responsibilities
- Greet customers, assist customers with weighing in/out metals and wire. Learning how to grade wire and metal.
- Know the basics about various vehicles and parts.
- Manage front desk operations with professionalism and courtesy.
- Answer phone calls, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while addressing inquiries and directing calls as needed.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records and information.
- Provide customer support by addressing client concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
- Manage administrative tasks such as filing, document preparation, and maintaining office supplies.
- Operate phone systems efficiently to facilitate communication within the office.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Office Assistant or in a similar administrative role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with vehicles and parts
- Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
