Inserting Operator

This position is responsible for setting up and running the envelope machine that they are assigned to, producing orders planned on the machine, performing the maintenance to support operation of the machines, and checking and confirming the quality of the product being produced.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run the high-speed inserting machines for production runs including size changes for envelopes and windows. This includes mechanical as well as basic computer software adjustments and troubleshooting to clear complex jams. Load full trays of mail onto carts and into APCs/ pallets.
• Check the quality of the first envelopes and periodically monitor the machines continuously to ensure consistent operation and quality of product. Ensure that proper materials and components are selected and used for each job.
• Provide and file reports to supervisors and management at the end of each shift for each machine. Some reports require computer and website usage.
• Comply with mailing out policies within the allotted timeframes, Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace. Return unused materials and components to inventory after use. Make suggestions to the team to improve organization, quality, quantity, or waste reduction.
• Ensures members and insureds are provided with the timely mailing of their Insurance and Membership documents in a manner consistent with ACE member goals.
• Provide legendary service to all internal business units to ensure member documents, payments, and inquiries are received and distributed efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School GED
• less than 1 year Fast-paced production environment
• Computer literacy required.
• Basic math skills required (production reports).
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and organization skills.
• Flexibility in work schedule to work overtime when needed is required.
