- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot inserting machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow Standard Work procedures diligently to maintain quality and workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Operator to guarantee all finished materials are processed accurately.
- Conduct routine inspections to verify adherence to quality control standards and identify potential issues early.
- Perform preventative maintenance routines and routine inserting procedures with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace while adhering to 5S standards.
- Engage with various departments to optimize production flow and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Complete all logs, paperwork, and computer functions as required by Standard Processes.
- Proficient in operating and troubleshooting inserting machines.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
- Effective communication skills to facilitate teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to accurately complete logs and documentation.
- A positive attitude and a collaborative mindset are essential.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required; vocational or technical qualifications are preferred.
- Experience in a similar mail facility is advantageous, with familiarity in operating high-speed inserting machines such as Pitney Bowes and Bell and Howell being desirable.
