As an Integrated Behavioral Health Counselor, you will be at the heart of our patient care, bridging the gap between physical and mental health. In this role, you'll assess and treat patients, providing culturally sensitive therapy, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and enhancing the overall well-being of our diverse patient population. At 20-24 hours per week this position offers the flexibility to align with your lifestyle and goals.
Hourly Rate: $35.00 - $57.00 (Based on experience, licensure, and education)

Duties and responsibilities
- Provide culturally sensitive, client-centered individual, group, and family counseling and rehabilitation services.
- Facilitate referrals to community resources and refer to case management services.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify patients' needs and formulate treatment plans.
- Document and maintain clinical records per appropriate standards and regulations.
- Participate in clinical supervisions, team meetings, and trainings.
- Collaborate with the primary care team to integrate behavioral health into the overall patient care plan. Participate in case conferences and care coordination with other AACI programs.
- Complete and maintain LPS 5150 Authorization certification and provide officer of the day support.
- Offer immediate support and crisis intervention for patients experiencing acute behavioral health issues.
- Complete other related duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- ASW, AMFT, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist in the state of California.
- Master’s degree in social work or psychology.
- One year or more of clinical experience in Integrated Behavioral Health, Specialty Mental Health, and/or Brief Therapy Models.
- Experience in providing behavioral health counseling in a healthcare or similar setting is highly desired.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to perform the duties described above.
- Knowledge of laws and ethical standards pertaining to clinical care.
- Knowledge of DSM-V criteria for diagnosing behavioral health illnesses.
- Experience with electronic health records and proficiency in documentation.
- Knowledge of Improving Mood Promoting Access to Collaborative Treatment (IMPACT) Model of Care and Managed Care Models preferred.
- Verbal and written fluency in English is required; Bilingual skills in a second language (particularly Spanish, Mandarin, and Vietnamese) are desired but not required.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Working conditions
Work is conducted in an office environment inside a standard clinic setting. Basic safety precautions and use of protective clothing or gear may be required. Occasional evenings and weekend work is required.
