As the Instructional Designer, you will support the development of both synchronous and asynchronous learning events within the learning management system (LMS). Reporting to the Director of Curriculum & Learning Strategy, this role will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), faculty, and internal stakeholders to design and deliver effective learning experiences for AACSB members. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, eLearning development, and LMS administration.
Workplace type: Hybrid and will be based in Tampa.

How You Will Contribute
Course Design & Development
- Coordinate with multiple departments and individuals internally and externally to create and deliver high-quality learning content.
- Design, develop, and implement engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning events within the LMS.
- Apply best practices in instructional design, adult learning principles, and accessibility (WCAG, UDL) to create effective learning experiences.
- Develop interactive multimedia content, including videos, quizzes, simulations, and discussion-based learning activities.
- Ensure courses align with AACSB’s educational goals and maintain high-quality standards.
- Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), faculty, and internal teams to curate and develop content.
- Coordinate across departments to ensure learning materials are aligned with AACSB member needs and to manage and disseminate learning badges and certificates.
- Act as a point of contact for instructional design support, assisting facilitators and instructors with course setup and delivery.
- Manage course builds, enrollments, and updates within the LMS.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to the LMS and provide user support to instructors and learners.
- Maintain an organized course repository and ensure seamless access for AACSB members.
- Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct needs assessments and learning effectiveness evaluations.
- Gather user feedback and leverage data analytics to improve course engagement and outcomes.
- Stay updated with instructional technology trends and recommend innovative solutions.
- Fluency in the English language.
- Two to Five (2-5) years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or LMS administration, preferably in higher education or professional learning.
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Curriculum Development, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience working with LMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, etc.) and adult learning principles.
- Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, or Adobe Captivate, or others).
- Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and accessibility standards (WCAG, UDL).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across departments.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Curriculum Development, or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience designing learning experiences for AACSB-accredited institutions or professional organizations.
- Knowledge of learning analytics and data-driven instructional improvements.
- Basic HTML/CSS skills for customizing LMS content.
