What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Engineer position at Aagard?
Primary Responsibilities :
Write, implement and test code to control machine motion per requirements
Problem solving and solution recommendation
Provide engineering support to customers
Support the testing and installation of equipment
Provide training for internal and external customers
Provide feedback and support on Aagard's process and standards for continuous improvement
Provide support to the manufacturing floor and Customer Technical Service department
Assist in the development and maintenance of Aagard's standards
Follow safe work practices
Recommend and implement best practices to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Communicate openly, share knowledge, build positive collaboration between departments and team members
Support and contribute to department and company metrics
Be actively engaged in continuous improvement projects and culture
Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or related field or equivalent combination of education and / or experience
Knowledge of programming practices
Knowledge of motion and timing
Knowledge of mechanical, controls, and electrical systems
Ability to read electrical prints
Knowledge of electronic components
Experience or training with PC's, servos, and PLC's
Previous experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen Bradley products preferred
Previous experience with Beckhoff controls software a plus
Experience with Microsoft Office products
