Summary/Objective:
The Robotic Welding Machine Operator at Aalberts Hydronic Flow Control is a critical role responsible for the successful HEP (Hydronic Efficiency Products) operation of the plant. They are responsible for operating equipment in a safe and productive manner.
Essential Functions:
- Operate and maintain machinery used in fabrication
- Operate and maintain robotic welder
- Tack and finish weld sheet metal components (GMAW)
- Operate lifting equipment using safe lifting practices
- Perform related tasks including grinding, cutting and removing scrap from tables
- Practice safe work habits including PPE requirements and all safety rules
- Comply with plant rules, excellent practice of safe behavior and compliance with safety rules and have good attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Competencies:
- Strong understanding of safe manufacturing processes.
- Ability to pass entry level weld test (GMAW)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety
- Ability to accurately use measuring tools
Work Environment:
This job operates in a production warehouse environment

The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, climb, or balance as well as stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 Years experience in a manufacturing environment
