Title:  Active Military Skillbridge Internship - Program Manager

Job Description:

Join us on a fantastic learning journey at Aalis Management Consulting. We are excited to offer an internship opportunity to provide the intern with valuable insights into the business operations of a growing government contracting firm led by the accomplished Army veteran Ebony Wilkins. As an intern, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in all aspects of small business, including proposal and business development, operations, program management, emerging technologies, and cyber and personnel security. This internship will culminate in a capstone project presentation, marking your successful program completion. The intern will have the flexibility to work remotely while also having the opportunity to travel to the DC metro area for client meetings and corporate engagements.  Are you leaving the Military within the next 3-6 months? Key Responsibilities:

Program Management Support: 
    • Assist the Program Manager in developing, implementing, and overseeing program strategies for government contracts.
    • Support the management of project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and resources.
    • Monitor project performance to ensure alignment with contract requirements, client expectations, and company goals.
    • Maintain and update project schedules, track milestones, and escalate issues when necessary.
Proposal Management:
    • Lead the proposal development process, including coordinating efforts across teams (technical, pricing, legal, etc.) to produce high-quality, compliant proposals for government solicitations.
    • Review and interpret government RFPs (Requests for Proposals), RFQs (Requests for Quotes), and other solicitation documents to ensure full understanding of requirements.
    • Develop and maintain proposal schedules, ensuring timely submission of proposals.
    • Oversee proposal content creation, including writing and editing technical, management, past performance, and other proposal sections.
    • Ensure proposals comply with all applicable regulations and standards (e.g., FAR, DFARS).
Contract Management:
    • Manage the preparation, negotiation, and execution of contracts with government agencies.
    • Support the contract award process and document all terms and conditions properly.
    • Advise internal stakeholders on contractual obligations and compliance with terms and conditions.
    • Review and interpret contract modifications, amendments, and terms.
    • Maintain and track contract documents and ensure proper records management.
Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., business development, finance, operations) to ensure all proposal and contract aspects align with the company’s capabilities and strategy.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all proposal and contract-related inquiries.
    • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to review contract and proposal terms, conditions, and potential risks.
    • Ensure effective communication with government clients, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the proposal and contracting process.​​​​​​​

    • Continuously assess and improve proposal and contract management processes for efficiency, compliance, and competitiveness.
    • Maintain proposal and contract templates, ensuring consistency and alignment with industry best practices.
Skills: 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals and contracts simultaneously.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management software (e.g., Deltek, ProPricer, or similar tools).
