Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring the Union Center remains clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents, guests, and staff. This in-house position involves daily cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing of the facilities while ensuring they meet high cleanliness and hygiene standards. This role includes assisting with scheduling, inventory management, supporting training efforts. The Lead serves as a key support to the Operations Manager, maintaining high service standards and fostering a positive work environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, paper products, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness.
- Work with the Operations Manager to address feedback and maintain a high level of satisfaction.
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
- Service, clean all showers and locker rooms.
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
- Wipe down all fitness equipment & spin bikes
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Steam-clean or shampoo carpets.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
- Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
- Address any cleanliness or maintenance issues, coordinating with maintenance teams as necessary.
- Other related duties as directed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently.

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and one (1) years of experience working in a Janitorial role.
- One (1) year of experience in a lead/supervisory role overseeing staff.
- Polished and professional appearance and attitude.
- Self-starter and detail oriented.
- Ability to read, write speak and understand the English language in order to interact with residents and staff.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; stand; walk; and move or transport oneself around the building and property for moderate to extended periods of time. The employee must be able to lift/carry up to 20 pounds.
- Works indoors and outdoors.

Experience
Required- 1 year(s): High school diploma or GED and one (1) years of experience working in a Janitorial role. One (1) year of experience in a lead/supervisory role overseeing staff. Polished and professional appearance and attitude. Self-starter and detail oriented. Ability to read, write speak and understand the English language in order to interact with residents and staff.
