Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workers' Compensation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a thorough understanding of workers’ compensation law, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively. In this role, you will assist attorneys in all phases of workers’ compensation cases from inception to resolution.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing workers' compensation claims, petitions, and legal documents.
- Prepare case summaries, medical chronologies, and other critical documentation.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant.
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and other parties to gather information and update case status.
- Assist in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents with courts and agencies.
- Review and analyze medical records, treatment histories, and other evidence for case development.
- Prepare discovery responses, subpoenas, and other legal documents as required.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive information.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a paralegal.
- Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research, document preparation, and case management software.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
