Overview
AARP Services, Inc., founded in 1999, is a wholly-owned taxable subsidiary of AARP. AARP Services manages the provider relationships for and performs quality control oversight of the wide range of products and services that carry the AARP name and are made available by independent providers as benefits to AARP's millions of members. The provider offers currently span health products, financial products, travel and leisure products, and life event services. Specific products include Medicare supplemental insurance; credit cards, auto and home, mobile home and motorcycle insurance, life insurance and annuities; member discounts on rental cars, cruises, vacation packages and lodging; special offers on technology and gifts; pharmacy services and legal services. AARP Services also engages in new product development activities for AARP and provides certain consulting services to outside companies.
AARP Media Advertising Network (AMAN), a division of ASI, connects marketers to the largest and most influential 50 demographic in the country. Anchored by three core properties - AARP The Magazine, AARP Bulletin, and AARP.org - and augmented by special publications, newsletters, digital programs and emerging platforms, our Network delivers an average of 150 million monthly in-home and digital impressions. AMAN drives revenue through media sales in support of AARP's mission and is comprised of four core teams : sales, marketing, research and operations.
The Business Operations Analyst provides operational support to AMAN including but not limited to administrative support for executive team, expense coding and invoice processing, facilities lead for teleworking team, event planning and execution, subject matter expertise for internal processes, tech liaison with IT and provides back up to Manager, Business Operations. This role provides general and project-based support to all AMAN departments.
Responsibilities
- Provides administrative-level support to internal clients on a variety of group- or organization-wide projects, programs, processes, and business initiatives. Liaises with other teams in order to execute on tasks. Serves as central point of contact for all business processes across the department, managing support activities as needed.
- Supports the business and financial operations processes for internal clients, including but not limited to the procure to pay processes and documentation, the tracking of invoices and payment processes, the preparation and / or tracking of budgets and reports, and the preparation and / or tracking of lobbying information.
- Provides excellent customer assistance. Researches, resolves, identifies and / or clarifies issues for internal / external customers. Uses programs and databases to track responses and identifies issues and recommends process improvements.
- Analyzes current business processes and develops, tests, and implements improvement initiatives and documents. Maintains / provides accurate documentation and acts as an expert on organization policies and procedures. Coordinates records management and documents adherence to policies and compliance requirements.
- Conducts research, analyzes data, and develops, manages, and distributes ad-hoc and scheduled reports.
- Coordinates financial, procurement, and contract management activities for departmental projects. Manages a variety of financial functions such as invoice coding and approval and expense reconciliation.
- Facilitates the coordination of project management, metrics, and operations across the departments in close collaboration with team members and department leads.

Hybrid Work Environment
AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as remote workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work can only be done within the United States and its territories.
