The American Association of School Administrators, d / b / a, AASA the School Superintendents Association, is the premier association for school system leaders. We serve as the national voice for public education and district leadership on Capitol Hill. A professional community of more than 10,000 educational leaders, AASA and its members are committed to providing high-quality public education to all students.
We are looking for a project coordinator with exemplary customer service skills to work with our Leadership Network department. LN is AASA’s professional development arm supporting a pipeline of diverse superintendents and educational leaders as they advance their knowledge, skills and disposition for highly effective leadership.
The incumbent of this position supports the department’s mission while providing frontline customer service to our members. In addition, this coordinator is responsible for essential administrative functions for Leadership Network activities.
AASA is located in Alexandria, Va., just outside our nation's capital. We are conveniently located just blocks from the King Street Metro station, but we also provide free parking for our staff.
This individual will be required to work in our office based on the nature of the position. Occasional remote work may be allowed.

Hiring salary for this position is $48,000 to $60,000 depending on knowledge, skills and experience.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provides High-Level Customer Service for In-Person Professional Development Events and Meetings
Coordinates and Completes Project Tasks as Defined and Assigned in Individual Project Plans
Provides Administrative Support for Department and Organization as Required
Serves as Backup to the Primary Receptionist
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience expected.
Experience : Demonstrated success in project management and administrative services. Minimum two years of professional experience in a busy work environment with tight deadlines. Graphic design and / or familiarity with social media tools, such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat and a plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :
Regular use of laptop computers is common. Travel may be required and longer than normal hours of work at meetings and conferences may be expected.
