What You’ll Be Doing:
General Responsibilities:
· Manage accounting functions for multiple properties, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Prepare and analyze profit & loss statements, providing insights and recommendations.
· Ensure all financial records, including journal entries and reconciliations, are completed according to policies and deadlines.
· Assist with various projects and tasks as directed by the Corporate Controller.
Primary Accounting Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate financial records for each property, ensuring compliance with auditing and tax regulations.
· Track expenses and ensure all budgets are followed and financial risks are flagged.
· Organize and maintain electronic billing folders, ensuring all documents, including waivers and invoices, are filed correctly.
· Process invoices from vendors, consultants, and suppliers, ensuring proper coding and accurate payments.
· Complete the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations for various accounts.
Corporate Accounting Focus:
· Tax filings: Ensure all state and local tax filings for each property are completed on time.
· Resolve accounts payable issues and address any discrepancies.
· Perform balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and assist with payroll and audits as needed.
