What are the responsibilities and job description for the Body and Paint Technician position at AB Spring Service Inc?
AB Spring Service has built a superior reputation in the trucking and semi-trailer industries. This reputation has kept the business growing since 1987. We are seeking individuals for our Body and Collision Department to assist in our growth and maintain our strong customer base.
Body/Collision/Paint Technician:
- Must be able to do the following: repair or replace fiberglass body panels and prep for refinishing, repair or replace cab panels, repair or replace front major mechanical components (condenser, air to air, radiator, etc.), repair or replace minor electrical system components, repair or replace minor truck components
- Maintain work area appearance and follow safety protocols
- Complete any other related task assigned by Supervisor
- Required to stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended length of time during your scheduled work period.
- Must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
- Own tools are a plus, there is a tool purchase program available
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Technical school training in truck repair/refinish preferred
- Working knowledge of welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, and power tools
- Required to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
