Job Details:
ECU Health Roanoke Chowan Hospital Information:
A 114-bed hospital,
with a 15-bed Emergency Department,
serving 21,000 patients annually,
operating on 24-hour rotational shifts,
and offering ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground Support for immediate patient transfers.
Additional Information:
We use EPIC (HealthSpan) as our Electronic Medical Record system.

Job Details:
- Cover both Inpatient and Outpatient cases.
- Work Monday through Monday.
- Be available for daily call as an Anesthesiologist or Shared Epidural Call with three Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).
- Must be able to start surgery within 30 minutes of being called back.
- Average 12-15 patients per day per Anesthesiologist, with approximately 150 surgical cases and 100 Endoscopy procedures per month.
- Average admissions per day: 8, average admissions per night: 6.
- Required to serve as backup in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit (ER & ICU) for difficult intubations and spinals.
- We have two main operating rooms, an Endo suite with three rooms, and a C-section OR.
- The procedures performed include general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, pain management, OB/GYN, and dental pediatrics.
