Physical Therapy Assistants needed in Southern California!
- 13-week contract to start (with the option to extend)
Physical Therapy Assistant Position Description:
- Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual techniques; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, daily-living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes and prostheses.
- Contributes to physical therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physical therapy directives.
- Assess patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying therapy histories.
- Assess abnormal conditions by reviewing physical therapist's interpretations of patient evaluations and test results
- Instructs, educates and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information, promoting wellness and health maintenance, and updating home exercise programs as needed.
- Provides continuity of care by implementing patient management plans
Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree.
- At least 1 year of recent PTA experience; experience in a Skilled Nursing setting preferred.
- Must possess a current, unrestricted PTA license or certification.
- BLS/CPR Certification.
Physical Therapy Assistant Pay:
- Full time Schedule, 40hrs/week
- Mon-Fri | Day Shift
- $1,800.00 - $1,900.00 per week.
