Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health-related field such as Psychiatry, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work.
Active PsyD or PhD Licensure in the state of Oregon
Experience with individual, family, and / or group therapy with adolescents / young adults is required.
Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.
BLS / CPR Cert.
Psychologist Timeline :
13-week direct contract with a high potential to extend.
Quick feedback and expedited credentialing process with in-house experts.
40 hours per week with the potential to pick up OT.
Psychologist Job Duties :
Facilitate individual and group therapies with young adults / adolescents within the framework of clinical model.
Complete risk assessment and initial safety plan upon admission, and biopsychosocial assessment and treatment plan within timeline requirements.
Coordinate treatment goals and services in collaboration with the client's treatment team, with 30-day treatment plan reviews and updates.
Provide progress updates to parents in collaboration with the family therapist.
Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provide crisis intervention / management as needed.
Complete documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress and group notes, discharge summary) timely and according to established standards.
Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision.
Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences representing Newport Healthcare as needed.
