A Brush Above Services, or ABA Services, started as a premier commercial/residential paint and drywall company that, over the course of 10 years, has expanded its influence and scope of work to include all aspects of the construction process. Our job sites typically span across the State of Texas and include a variety of different firms and businesses in nearly every industry imaginable.

ABA Services is currently looking to fill one (1) open position – Safety Coordinator

The principal responsibility of the Safety Coordinator is to ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner. They will coordinate with project supervision and management to ensure that workers receive the appropriate PPE, equipment, and training to perform their work safely. The Safety Coordinator will document weekly safety inspections, however daily safety audits are necessary. The Safety Coordinator will ensure that daily job-site safety analysis are performed and maintain the relevant documentation. Additionally, the safety coordinator may be required to attend site-wide safety meetings.

General Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily communication with your supervisor via telephone, text, and/or email.
• Adhere to all assigned deadlines and timetables.
• Ensure that all safety procedures and requirements are applied and followed at all times.
• Report all safety hazards and/or concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Safety Coordinator Specific Responsibilities:

• Ensure all appropriate PPR, equipment and training necessary to perform work safely is available to all workers
• Inspect all of the safety equipment to ensure it is in working order at all times
• Ensure that all safety signage is present where needed
• Communicate safety precautions for specific instances to ABA Superintendents
• Verify that crews consistently follow safety protocols
• Conduct daily visual inspections of each project and work area to ensure compliance with OSHA, Federal, and State regulations
• Observe completion of daily safety analysis and maintain for company records
• Document weekly safety inspections and move to correct all deficiencies
• Act as point of contact for the Client and attend all mandatory meetings
• Walk and meet with the Client to perform PWRA
• Act as MDX escort when they are on site
• Fill out reports as needed and requested by ABA Upper management for use to assess field staff's safety performance
• Lead response efforts in the event of an emergency until immediate danger is over and then MDX/ABA Upper Management will take over
• Keep Superintendents and Project Managers up to date on any changes the Client has made to existing Procedures

Position Requirements:

• A valid Driver’s License and personal liability insurance for travel between jobsites and the office/shop area.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to follow directions and work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member, including attending and participating in team meetings.
• Demonstrated reliable attitude, honesty, and integrity.
• Initiative and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges.
• Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines.
• Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, subordinates, and Owner’s representatives

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
• OSHA safety training
• Experience with Procore is preferred
• Practical on job safety experience is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
