Our client is an education organization. They seek a Human Resources Generalist to join their Manhattan, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Post and maintain open job positions in our ATS and partner sites
- Work with hiring managers to review resumes and screen applicants
- Email applicants “Next Steps” notice to begin the onboarding process
- Distribute and process paperwork for new hires, including I-9 verification
- Liaise with PEO and finance team to ensure accurate payroll processing
- Create and maintain salary banding documents for all positions
- Assist staff with PEO and benefits-related questions and issues
- Oversee staff enrollment for dental, vision, and medical benefits
- Support the Deputy COO and COO with day-to-day tasks
- Update compliance notices in the staff lounges at both campuses
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR or similar field
- 3 years of human resources experience
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Commitment to DEI in the workplace
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Skilled in with Google Suites, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Experience with HRIS systems and payroll processing
