Description :

Provides technical direction on projects to department or project participants. Plans, coordinates and completes large-scale or several medium or small, complex or long term project(s) within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. Maintains thorough knowledge of new developments and / or technology pertaining to the project(s). Monitors and recommends changes for improvement. Position usually requires five to eight years of experience and an advanced degree, or the equivalent and in-depth knowledge in area of speciality.

Project : Origami Claims System Implementation

Overview : Palms Insurance is a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc., and manages both its Alien captive, Palms Cayman (which focuses on providing NextEra flexible and comprehensive insurance) and non-affiliate insurance entity Palms Specialty (a fast-growing specialty surplus lines insurer and reinsurer serving to further diversify NextEra's overall insurance portfolio and contribute to overall profitability).

Job Description : Palms is seeking a skilled and experienced Contractor Business Analyst / Project Manager to lead the implementation of the Origami Claims System solution. The successful candidate will be accountable for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes initiating, business requirement gathering, coordinating, leading team activities, as well as overseeing the vendor relationship.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the planning and implementation of the Origami Claims System.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans encompassing resources, timelines, work breakdown structures, risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Coordinate communication / meetings with stakeholders, team members, and vendors to ensure clarity and alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Utilize project management software to schedule tasks, track progress and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Work with subject matter experts and claims team members to gather business requirements and ensure vendor and claims team have a mutual understanding.
  • Lead project team members and establish an execution strategy to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes.
  • Reporting regularly to key executive stakeholders on project status, risks, issues, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and updated regularly.
  • Manage relationship with vendors and contractors, ensuring seamless integration and adoption of the Origami Claims System.
  • Conduct and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Resolve escalated issues promptly and effectively to minimize project risks and ensure goals are achieved.
  • Create and provide project reports including weekly status report and Steering Committee decks
  • Manage the migration from legacy system to the new system

Requirements & Qualifications :

  • Proven track record of successful business analysis, project management, specifically within software implementation projects.
  • Project Management experience with a focus on insurance or claims management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and resources in a dynamic environment across various locations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex project issues.
  • Experience working with vendors and third-party contractors.
  • Knowledge of Origami Risk platform preferred but not mandatory. Will Per Diem and Mob / De-Mob expense types be available for this requisition?
