Job Description : The Electrician will install, repair and maintain the electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems in buildings while ensuring work is in accordance with relevant codes.
Responsibilities :
- Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues regarding production equipment.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
- Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
- Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
- Connects electrical systems to powerlines to provide electricity to the building.
- Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
- Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
- Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
- Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to support with facility maintenance issues beyond electrical duties
- Have the correct knowledge of tools and their usage.
- Ability to disassemble and assemble equipment.
- Must be certified in the operation of a pallet jack and / or fork lift.
- Understanding of machine specific lockout / tagout procedures.
- Must have a general knowledge of Hazmat policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
Education :
High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent Experience is required
Associate / -Year Technical Degree is required
Work Experience :
A minimum of - years of electrical maintenance experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified is required.
Licenses and Certifications :
Certification / Licensure Electrical Journeyman License (EEJ); a second related Journeyman's License; or Equivalent military experience or Completion of Credit Hours Electrical is required.
Forklift and Palate Jack Certification is preferred
