POS Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with equipment repair and maintenance. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment, as well as the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot various systems. The Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal performance of our equipment and systems.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on various types of equipment.
• Utilize hand tools and diagnostic instruments, including voltmeters and ohmmeters, to troubleshoot issues.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and components.
• Conduct low voltage wiring installations and repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
• Assist in the setup of computer networking systems related to equipment operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards while performing all tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with low voltage systems and wiring practices.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively.
• Basic understanding of computer networking principles is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $25.71 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (Required)
