What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at Abacus?
Responsibilities
- Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked
- Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow senior or sous chef instructions
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in a high quality, timely fashion, and dishes are prepared following any specific request or allergy alerts
- Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
- Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers
- Clean and sanitize cooking surface before, during, and after shift
- Stock inventory and supplies
- Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff
- Perform inventory checks for the assigned station and complete food storage logs
- Must be able to work any area of the kitchen / service area when needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Pay Rate : $18.00 hourly
Schedule : Monday - Friday 6 : 30am to 3 : 00pm
