Pet Care Manager

Abadie Veterinary Hospital is seeking a talented Pet Care Manager to lead our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our staff, you'll oversee the delivery of high-quality medical services while promoting exceptional client service. Our team is committed to staying ahead of the curve in veterinary technology and believes in treating every client and patient like family.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversight of high-quality medical services, including physical examinations, diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures, and client communication;
2. DEVELOP A RAPPORT WITH CLIENTS AND DETERMINE THEIR NEEDS AND WISHES;
3. EXPLAIN PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FINDINGS AND COMMUNICATE DIAGNOSIS TO CLIENTS, GENERATING AND PRESENTING TREATMENT PLANS;
4. Educate clients on preventative healthcare, including vaccines and nutritional products;
5. Maintain accurate client/patient medical records and ensure up-to-date logs through established protocols;
6. Collaborate with colleagues on follow-up and future management of patient care;
7. Stay current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine through Continuing Education;
8. PROMOTE EXCEPTIONAL CLIENT SERVICE AND POSITIVELY REPRESENT THE HOSPITAL IN THE PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY AND TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC;
9. Treat every client like family and each patient like your own pet.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university;
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of application;
• Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude;
• Ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members;
• Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets;
• Compassionate team player who can uphold great reputation with clients;
• Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
