Abadie Veterinary Hospital is seeking a talented Pet Care Manager to lead our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our staff, you'll oversee the delivery of high-quality medical services while promoting exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of high-quality medical services, including physical examinations, diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures, and client communication;
- DEVELOP A RAPPORT WITH CLIENTS AND DETERMINE THEIR NEEDS AND WISHES;
- EXPLAIN PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FINDINGS AND COMMUNICATE DIAGNOSIS TO CLIENTS, GENERATING AND PRESENTING TREATMENT PLANS;
- Educate clients on preventative healthcare, including vaccines and nutritional products;
- Maintain accurate client/patient medical records and ensure up-to-date logs through established protocols;
- Collaborate with colleagues on follow-up and future management of patient care;
- Stay current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine through Continuing Education;
- PROMOTE EXCEPTIONAL CLIENT SERVICE AND POSITIVELY REPRESENT THE HOSPITAL IN THE PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY AND TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC;
- Treat every client like family and each patient like your own pet.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university;
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of application;
- Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude;
- Ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members;
- Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets;
- Compassionate team player who can uphold great reputation with clients;
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
