CED Production Operator 1st Shift

Your Role and Responsibilities
- Assembly and Fabrication: Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.
- Documentation Reading: Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation to build according to specifications.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies; performs basic repairs when needed.
- Inventory Management: Inventories tools, parts, and supplies, and contacts the materials handler if supplies are needed.
- Quality Control: Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion, resolves any identified problems, and alerts the supervisor.
Qualifications for the Role
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Tool Knowledge: Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, screwdriver, battery-operated tools, etc.
- Hardware Arrangement: Knowledge of hardware arrangements – nuts, bolts, screws, etc.
- 5S Knowledge: Knowledge and application of 5S principles – sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain.
- PPE: Knowledge and use of necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Engineering Skills: Ability to read and interpret engineering job spec sheets, connection diagrams, bills of materials, and standard assembly drawings.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills to look up parts based on bills of materials.
- Work Authorization: Candidates must already have a work authorization that permits them to work for ABB in the US.
