Finance Analyst
Summary: The Finance Analyst will provide analytical support to the Finance team and is responsible for developing, implementing, and analyzing data to drive insights to increase profits. The role will provide timely, insightful, user-friendly analytics and reports that enable sound business decision-making.
Essential Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.
- Build analytical tools and reports to support various business units to make positive improvements that impact sales, operating expenses, and profit.
- Analyze business metrics by product mix, gross margin, units, orders, cost per unit, average unit price, and other sales and opex drivers
- Support business departments with timely reports, value-added analysis, and identify potential performance gaps, recommend modifications to documents, tools, systems and/or processes
- Develop forecast and customer financial modeling in support of business objectives
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics to senior management
- Build a strong relationship with cross functional teams such as sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather relevant data and insights for analysis
- Proactively identify internal best practices which may be implemented
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related field; Master’s Degree a plus
- A minimum of 2 years in an analytical role in either Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Solid spreadsheet skills including pivot tables, lookup functions, sum/count if formulas, importing/exporting data, etc.
- General PC and MS Office applications
