Engineering Supervisor
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to create the design of equipment, systems, or installations or modifies the pre-engineered designs for assignments by applying standard design concepts. Each day, you will assist in designing engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to specification. You will also showcase your expertise by participating in design reviews and design verification and modifying the design, as necessary. The work model for the role is : onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in North America. You will be mainly accountable for : Contributes to design reviews and design verification, modifies design, as necessary. Ensures that Bill of Materials (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations. Ensures quality and timely implementation of projects within the targeted cost. Creating and reviewing reports.
Qualifications for the role
- Experience in Customer Application Engineering, or Mechanical Design required.
- Experience in dealing with the cultural diversity of a global business environment.
- Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or a related field and 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment and specifically with steel or copper fabrication
- Experience with electrical distribution equipment preferred.
- Proficient with AutoCAD (recent version) or equivalent computer aided design platform. Computer Aided Design certification or degree preferred.
- Experience with 3D design including use of Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent design platforms preferred.
- Familiar and have practical experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, SAP, Windchill, and other applicable software preferred.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
