Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead marketing and sales activities related to products, systems, and services within the defined industry segments, for the assigned area. Each day, you will ensure that the division and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the selected market segments. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment.
The work model for the role is: remote
This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings, Smart Power and Distribution Solution divisions in the US.
You will be mainly accountable for:
ABB Smart Buildings enables optimization of energy efficiency, safety, security and comfort for any building type, through new installations or retrofit solutions. The Division offers integrated digital technologies to control HVAC, lighting, shutters, and security, in addition to energy distribution solutions including DIN rail products, enclosures and emergency lighting through to industrial plugs and sockets and conventional wiring accessories, accommodating for single family homes, multiple dwellings, commercial buildings, infrastructure and industrial applications. The Division’s highly innovative technologies and digital solutions serve rising global demand among real estate developers, owners, and investors for smart building technologies that optimize energy distribution and building automation. The scalable solutions aim to deliver significant sustainable and financial benefits, meeting social and environmental demands, while being able to address even the most complex of customers’ carbon reduction strategies.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $136,400 and $227,600 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Develop and execute the strategic plan for the ABB Electrification portfolio, aligning with the company’s overall vision and goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive the development and implementation of technologies and solutions targeting the segment.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the electrification space, including partnerships, collaborations, and market expansion.
- Collaborate with marketing and engineering for product development life-cycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery of electrification projects.
- Maintain pipeline of key automotive opportunities for ABB Electrification by working with the sales and marketing teams. Candidate would be responsible for meeting or exceeding the annual budget for the segment related to ABB Electrification.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Marketing related degree is a plus.
- Minimum 12 years of experience within the industry. Automotive and/or automotive racing knowledge is a plus.
- Strong understanding of the automotive market, including technology trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape.
- Experience in conducting market analysis and business development plans with solid structured approach.
- Technical background, experience in the automotive market preferred.
- Willingness to travel as needed, including multiple events on weekends.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
