Your role and responsibilities
This is a position providing computing support to the ABB Westville plant and staff. The position is responsible for problem determination, problem / incident recording, problem resolution and problem escalation of all supported products and services. These products and services include networks, client / server systems, PC, desktops, desktop applications software, online software, peripheral devices, and others. Job Description : Responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Advise on software and hardware upgrades to maintain business continuity
- Proficient in writing technical documentation
- Must be able to conduct user training and support to all employees
- Utilize superior customer service skill
- Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software and network issues
- Configure desktops, laptops, tablets, and peripherals for end users
- Install and maintain network equipment
- Run network cable
- Maintain virtual servers and CIM server
- Support BUS users as a liaison with other internal support staff
- Ensure data backups are being performed
- Oversee telephone system
- Requisition computer equipment to support plant operations
