Abbeville General Hospital is hiring for a Health Information Management Medical Coder Position: Full time Medical Coder for Health Information Management Department
Positions Avaliable:
- Medical Coder II - One (1) position avaliable
HIM Coder II Required Experience: Minimum one year experience in ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 in an acute care facility coding Inpatient medical records for DRG assignment and coding Outpatient medical records for APC assignment. Experience assigning Evaluation and Management codes for professional fees desired. HIM Coders deemed to be eligible for participation in remote coding (per facility guidelines) may work from home following sufficient onsite training.
HIM Coder II Educational Requirements: Graduate of an approved school of Health Information Management Administration with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management or an Associate degree in Health Information Management. RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA or CPC credential required.
