The IT Program Director – Manufacturing Execution Systems will provide leadership to expedite, manage and coordinate a multitude of inter-related IT project activities. Programs will be global initiatives delivered within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities to ensure the successful completion. Position will work directly with business leadership and executive IT management to establish program goals and business cases.
The IT Program Director – Manufacturing Execution Systems is expected to have proven experience and knowledge needed to ensure the successful leadership of employees across multiple divisions, independent contractors, and consulting services across multiple projects within a program. This requires the capability to oversee highly diverse activities, multiple stakeholder groups, significant scope, schedule and resources. Directors are responsible for the most complex delivery of Abbott’s Business Solutions and Services (BSS) and therefore must demonstrate an expert understanding of the appropriate methodology, tools and skills to be used. The role will be responsible to remove roadblocks, maintain and enforce deliverable standards in a manner that supports and reinforces high quality along with effective and efficient delivery of a program.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON :
- Oversee the delivery of global complex manufacturing systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and implement IT strategies that support manufacturing operations and drive efficiency.
- Manage large-scale programs with budgets over $20 million, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors.
- Ensure successful project delivery through effective planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the organization.
- Facilitation of meetings with executive management to assist in determining strategic IT direction.
- Assess degree to which changes to scope, issues, and risks will potentially affect projects and work with project teams, executive management and sponsors, to align on resolutions.
- Measure performance to assure program is progressing as compared to original plan and budget.
- Lead Sr Leadership teams in developing and approving (with sponsors and stakeholders) a work breakdown plan. Ensure resource availability to achieve against the plan.
- Communicate progress by producing reports to provide timely and accurate project status and decision support information to project teams, business stakeholders, and executive management.
- Coordinate resources to ensure business objectives are addressed through proactive priority management with business leaders.
- Maintain compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Position Accountability / Scope :
QUALIFICATIONS :
The base pay for this position is $143,300.00 – $286,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
