Associate Director / Director, Global Market Access & Pricing – Immunology
GMAP Lead on Integrated Access Strategies (IAS) for RINVOQ in Rheumatology including Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA), Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), Non-Radiographic Axial SpA (nr-axSpA), Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).
- This role will leverage your clinical understanding, deep payer knowledge, and competitive insights to shape Access deliverables for RINVOQ Rheumatology on-market and pipeline indications.
Overall Responsibilities Include:
- Addressing pricing, reimbursement, access (PRA) potential across international key markets, including the EU5, CAN, JPN, AUS, and China
- Leading the Global Value and Access team for RINVOQ Rheumatology, developing Global integrated access strategies, championing the access ambitions, owning all Global VAT deliverables and communications
- RA/PsA/AS/nr-axSpA: Update global access materials (IAS, value proposition, objection handler, negotiation pathway, etc.) based on market insights and competitor dynamics across each indication.
- GCA: Develop launch global access materials (e.g. IAS, value proposition, core value dossier, negotiation pathway, objection handler) leveraging learnings across RINVOQ Rheumatology.
- SLE: Define the Global pricing & access strategy, prepare preliminary value materials, and influence global commercial strategy & integrated evidence program to optimize price, reimbursement, and patient access for RINVOQ in SLE.
- Collaborating with other GMAP functions such as Pricing and HTA Strategy as well as GHEOR, Global Business Intelligence, Government Affairs, Global Marketing, Global Commercial Development, Global Medical Affairs and complementary Area & Affiliate Functions, to ensure solid understanding of global payer markets and emerging stakeholders in the reimbursement areas
- Leading project management with regards to purchasing support, opening of POs; ensuring appropriate documentation is in place in line with company procedures and storage of pertinent documents to assigned projects
Basic Qualifications:
- More than 7 years of direct biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry experience and/or payer experience
- Relevant US or Global payer and access experience
- Education: B.A./B.S. required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MBA, PhD) in a scientific or economic area is preferred
- Strong clinical, safety, and disease area knowledge
- Experience in payer trends, evaluating drivers of market access success
- Knowledge of pricing policy & regulations and healthcare in key markets
- Understanding of regulatory agency requirements or policies that govern market approval, and the impact on reimbursement decisions
- Strong leadership, intrapersonal, critical thinking, and analytical skills to work with a variety of groups in ensuring that the strategic direction for market access and pricing is in balance with the market as well as corporate goals
- Strong presentation and writing skills
