We are seeking a Project Coordinator for the Portfolio Management team within AbbVie’s Calico Operations group. Reporting to the Associate Director, Calico Operations, she/he will provide project management support for the operational and portfolio management aspects of the Calico pipeline. This role will entail maintaining systems and processes along with daily support for the Calico operations stakeholders. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will maintain basic tracking of project deliverables while driving business process improvement initiatives to make current processes more streamlined and efficient.

Since 2014, AbbVie and Calico, a Google-backed life sciences company, have worked together to discover, develop, and bring to market new therapies for patients with age-related diseases. This collaboration has created more than 20 early-stage drug development programs across disease areas including immuno-oncology and neurodegeneration, with three of these programs now in clinical trials. Now extended through 2030, this dynamic and groundbreaking collaboration will continue to work to understand what makes us age and how to harness these lessons to improve the quality of human health by tackling a plethora of diseases.
Responsibilities:
- In partnership with Calico and AbbVie departments, builds and maintains processes and capacity to sustain Calico workflows.
- Enable streamlined issue resolution throughout the Calico portfolio of projects.
- Gathers inputs and current status for all deliverables related to ongoing operations and projects.
- Support all users, internal and external, using operations systems and other applications for tracking study related information; Communicate information and know-how to end user community; Participate in ongoing department and team meetings.
- Manage the acquisition, organization, control, dissemination, and use of Calico Portfolio information. Effectively organize and present data, summarize key information and actions from meetings, maintain project history using various software programs, and interact with scientists, department leaders, project leaders, and senior leaders across multiple sites and functions.
- Seek, implement, and maintain tools to archive, visualize and track projects in the Calico Portfolio to create transparency between project teams and enable management to effectively balance and prioritize portfolio initiatives. Responsible for tracking and execution of area projects.
- Decisions and actions have a direct impact on the quality of the information in the system as well as the timeliness for use by the Clinical Team. The position requires the ability to balance multiple priorities across multiple areas.
- Anticipates issues; understands the implications and interrelationships of those issues to the Calico Team and other areas. Able to distinguish between issues that they can resolve and those that need escalation.
Basic Qualifications:
· Minimum seven years (Bachelors), 5 years (Masters), or 10 years of relevant experience (HS diploma)
· Proficiency in one or more project management tools including PowerPoint, Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, or SharePoint.
· Experience working with and leveraging data as well as effectively communicating data insights.
· Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, statistics, management information systems, computer science, life sciences or related area is preferred.
· Knowledgeable about discovery/ development processes and how it fits into the AbbVie organization.
· Shows high level of initiative and ability to work independently.
· Has critical reasoning skills including the identification and resolution of complex problems

Salary : $62,900 - $79,700
