What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resource Management Technician position at ABBVIE?
Development Sciences represents a roughly $700MM cost center for R&D. Accurate management of expenses, contracts, payments, reporting and tracking are critical. The Resource Management Technician will work closely with their team and the Functions to ensure accurate and timely delivery of externally sourced work
- Process payments for 3rd party manufacturing contracts – obtaining operations approval, matching invoices to contract terms, tracking monthly expenses and processing invoices through Accounts Payable. This also would include conflict resolution.
- Process drug orders and invoices, tracking receipts via SAP
- Monitor contracts for adequate funding, extensions and close-outs, taking appropriate timely actions, as needed.
- Processing booklet label orders and invoices via SAP
- Perform ad hoc projects and reporting, as applicable
- Suggest and implement process improvements
Basic:
- An Associates Degree in Accounting is preferred. Alternatively, a high school graduate with three or more years of accounting/finance experience is required. The individual must possess a fundamental understanding of accounting principles.
- User proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn quickly AbbVie internal systems (SAP, Conga, COMPASS, etc., as applicable).
Knowledge of AbbVie purchasing and accounting procedures.
Strong analytical ability, judgment and problem solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with managers, staff, other divisions and vendors.
Goal oriented; work with minimal supervision and show ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time.
Demonstrates excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
