What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Assistant position at ABC and LOL Child Care Center and Preschool?
The transportation assistant will accompany our transportation driver with pick-up and delivery of children. The Transportation Assistant needs to be able to communicate effectively with families, coworkers, and children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age. The transportation assistant is responsible for buckling children into their carseats or the van seats. We complete a morning and an afternoon bus route daily. Part time of full time work available. Hours include 7:45-4:15 for full time or 7:45-9:30 and 2-3:45 for part time.
Duties
-Must be able to buckle and unbuckle children
-Must be able to secure children in carseats
-Complete attendance paperwork for children on the transportation route
-Be able to communicate effectively with families
Requirements
-Must be able to lift 25 pounds
-Needs to complete a seatbelt and carseat safety training
-Completion of CPR and first aid training
-Completion of mandated reporter training
