Summary

The transportation assistant will accompany our transportation driver with pick-up and delivery of children. The Transportation Assistant needs to be able to communicate effectively with families, coworkers, and children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age. The transportation assistant is responsible for buckling children into their carseats or the van seats. We complete a morning and an afternoon bus route daily. Part time of full time work available. Hours include 7 : 45-4 : 15 for full time or 7 : 45-9 : 30 and 2-3 : 45 for part time.

Duties

  • Must be able to buckle and unbuckle children
  • Must be able to secure children in carseats
  • Complete attendance paperwork for children on the transportation route
  • Be able to communicate effectively with families

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • Needs to complete a seatbelt and carseat safety training
  • Completion of CPR and first aid training
  • Completion of mandated reporter training
