Childcare Activities Supervisor

Here at ABC Great Beginnings, you will be assisting our team in ensuring the kids' safety and teaching them lessons each day. Helping the children learn and develop through guided play is gratifying for both you and the children.

Position Description:

The School Age Program Coordinator is responsible for the before and after school program for all school-age children. The afterschool program includes, but is not limited to; homework time, reading time, outside time, as well as a daily lesson and/or an activity. Additionally, the candidate would be responsible for carrying out daily activities and lessons when the children are out of school, and during the summer.

The selected candidate would be responsible for maintaining a positive classroom environment and supervising, and managing the children. You will be asked to supervise children indoors and outdoors, assist with projects, read to children, exercise with children, and be creative with the children.

Additionally, the role is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in the classroom at all times, including cleaning and closing the classroom at the end of each day.

The ideal candidate would also be willing to drive a bus to drop off/pick up children from local elementary schools, as well as drive for field trips during our summer program. As well as assisting in other classrooms when the school-aged children are not in the center.

All applicants should:

· Be at least 21 years old

· Possess a valid driver’s license (CDL not required)

· Previous experience in Childcare is preferred but not necessary.

· Be able to get along and respect clients, children, and other teammates

· Be able to acquire a CPR/ First Aid certification if needed and a food handlers permit

· Be able to pass a background and Fingerprint screen and drug screen.

· Be authorized to work in the United States.

Pay and Benefits.

· Pay: Our pay rates are competitive with the industry, and there are opportunities for bonuses and pay increases throughout the year. The pay rate is dependent on experience and other factors, based on each applicant. (Child Care needs, full or part-time, shift availability, etc.) We also offer paid holiday and accrued Paid Time Off.
