The Daycare Program Director is part of each center’s management team and is responsible for assisting the Center Director and supporting the quality and maintenance of the classrooms and the development of the teachers. They are an advocate for the teachers to help connect what is going on in the classrooms with the director and other management members.
Responsibilities:
· Work with Center management with day-to-day operations and coverage of the center as needed.
· Assist training New Hires in classrooms on curriculum and CCQS Orientation.
· Facilitate curriculum in the center by rolling out themes and providing support for teachers.
· Ensuring Child Care Quality Standards are upheld in each classroom by working with teachers on training and goals.
· Work with the Director to create special care plans for kids that may need one.
· Assist the Management team in creating a safe & motivating work environment to encourage staff retention.
· Ability to drive a 14-passenger vehicle or bus.
· Ability to manage the center in the Director's absence or as needed.
· Must have access to reliable transportation as this position requires you to visit all centers in a district and be willing to assist in those centers as needed.
Requirements:
· Must have a minimum of CDA, NAC, or equivalent and 3 years in early childhood education and required courses for Bureau of Child Care Licensing.
· Professionalism, sufficient maturity, and good judgment to function in crisis situations.
· Sensitivity to individual and group needs of children.
· Ability to supervise and create an atmosphere of positive and appropriate discipline for staff and children.
· Ability to communicate with parents effectively.
Pay and Benefits.
· Pay: Our pay rates are competitive with the industry, and there are opportunities for bonuses and pay increases throughout the year. The pay rate is dependent on experience and other factors, based on each individual applicant. (Child Care needs, full or part-time, shift availability, etc.) We also offer paid holiday and accrued Paid Time Off.

· No Evenings or Weekend Shifts: Most of our centers are not open evenings and weekends. Generally, the position would be for M – F depending on the center's needs.

· Training and Support: Your initial training is paid and more than doubles state requirements. We encourage and support ongoing education, and in many situations provide tuition assistance.
