Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Drilling Rig Operator to join our team at ABC Liovin Drilling, Inc. The ideal candidate will have experience operating late model drilling equipment, with a strong focus on safety and quality standards.
The position will be based in either Long Beach or Bloomington, California, and will report to one of our SoCal offices or yards. A sign-on bonus of $5,000 is authorized to fill this position, paid out in two installments: 50% upon hire and the balance after six months.
As a Drilling Rig Operator, you will be responsible for operating the GEFCO Speedstar 50K-CH (Casing Hammer) drilling rig, conducting routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with team members to coordinate safe and efficient drilling operations. You will also be required to operate various types of support equipment, including forklifts, backhoes, and skid steers, as needed.
A minimum of five years' proven experience in drilling operations, including Mud/Air Rotary/ARCH capabilities, is required for this position. A valid Class A California Driver's License and clean driving record are also essential. We maintain a strict Zero Tolerance drug policy and expect all employees to adhere to our safety protocols and complete necessary training.
This role requires the ability to work longer shifts, weekends, and out of town. Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various types of drilling equipment are essential. Familiarity with different drilling techniques is a plus. Candidates must be physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
