Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience in creating engaging, age-appropriate learning environments. This role involves fostering a love for learning in young children, implementing curriculum, and supporting their social and emotional growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to promote a supportive community.
- Plan and conduct activities that promote literacy education, creativity, and physical development.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience through shared resources and ideas.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 college credits in early child hood education or a related field or
- Completed 45 hour approved Fundamentals class
- Knowledge of childhood development
- Experience in curriculum development using Vermont Early Learning Standards
- Previous experience working with children in various settings such as childcare or t
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Complete VT Mandated Reporting
- VT Orientation
- Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid
