Job Summary
The BCaBA is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of treatment plans and programming for their clients. They must adhere to professional and legal standards, uphold the principles of behavior analysis, and consistently demonstrate sound professional judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure effective implementation of all treatment plans and programming.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and service providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Conduct direct and indirect assessments to determine the function of clients' behaviors.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans, including behavior support plans, based on functional behavior assessments and evidence-based methodologies.
- Participate in relevant client meetings, such as treatment team meetings, IEP/ISP (as needed), and staff meetings.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a clinical team, ensuring consistency and quality of care.
- Adhere to all professional and legal requirements, as well as the principles of behavior analysis.
- Demonstrate sound professional judgment and ethical behavior in all interactions and decisions.
- Ability to drive and make weekly home visits
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned
Qualifications
- Undergraduate-level professional in behavior analysis
- Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) certification
- Must be able to identify and resolve obstacles in a timely manner; gather and analyze data; develop alternative solutions and must work well in a group problem solving situations.
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Must write clearly and informatively; edit work for grammar, spelling and complete sentences; vary writing style to meet the needs of the agency/client; must be able to explain anything in reports in layman’s terms to families.
- Must follow policies and procedures; complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate parties if a deadline will not be met and support the organization’s goals and values.
- Must display original thinking and creativity; meet challenges with resourcefulness; generate suggestions for improving work and develop innovative approaches and ideas.
