Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at the RITA RANCH/VAIL location. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and confirm visits to optimize clinic operations.
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
- Process patient records and maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and transactions.
- Assist veterinarians with basic administrative tasks as needed, including managing medical records.
- Educate clients on proper pet care, including vaccination schedules and preventive health measures.
- Manage inventory of supplies and ensure that the reception area is clean and organized.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- At least 2 years experience in a Veterinary Clinic as a Receptionist
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology to facilitate effective communication within the clinic.
- Experience in animal handling or care, demonstrating a strong understanding of pet behavior and needs.
- Knowledge of animal catheterization techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
- Background in kennel management or dog training is a plus, enhancing your ability to assist clients effectively.
- Experience in laboratory settings or veterinary critical care is advantageous for supporting clinical operations.
