The ideal candidate is an individual who has strong accounting skills and is driven to grow and challenge themselves above and beyond a basic AR role. They would have great attention to detail and desire to improve current processes.
Position Responsibilities:
- Reconcile account aging for assigned portfolio
- Prompt resolution on payment discrepancies using customers’ proprietary online portals
- Research and resolve account variances with focus on trend recognition
- Escalate account issues as needed for timely resolution
- Assist in collection of past due invoices
- Develop and maintain positive relationships through effective communication with customers, branches, and support teams
- Prepare and process various journal entries in accordance with company policy and procedure
- Identify opportunities to streamline AR functions
- Provide “World Class Customer Service” to customers, branches and other internal departments
Essential Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable and general accounting principles
- 2 or more years of Accounts Receivable experience preferred
- Detail orientated with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and work in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Able to work independently and part of a team
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Effective organizational skills
- Self-motivated, Self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong in Excel- able to use features to aid in data analysis (pivot tables, vlookup, etc)
- Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
- Previous AS400 and Agility experience a plus
