Medical Assistant (Instructor Position)

This is perfect for someone looking to take a step back from working in a facility and looking to teach. We are the first step a student takes who wants to enter the medical field.

(Since this is an instructor position at a small allied health school we cannot offer the same hourly rate as a Medical Assistant working in a medical facility - this is strictly an instructor position in a mom and pop environment)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing health care training to students while adhering to BPSS standards. New York's Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS) oversees and monitors non-degree granting proprietary schools in New York. The Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision is part of the New York State Education Department.

M-F 9am - 4pm

Responsibilities

· Teach the approved BPSS curriculum in one of the following course subjects: Medical Assistant with EKG & Phlebotomy

· Keep immaculate records for each student

· Work hand in hand with the Director of Education and the Director of Student Services

· Provide compassionate education and understand not every student is at the same learning level

Qualifications

· Must have at least 2 year’s experience as a Medical Assistant

· Must have at least 2 year’s experience as with EKG & Phlebotomy

· Must have patience and work well with people

· Must be computer savvy

· Have an open schedule and be willing to pick up teaching shifts if necessary

· Must have a NY BPSS Teachers License (If you do not have one you will be required to get one - which we will help you get)

· Team player

This is a full time position in which you will be entitled to health benefits (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and have 401K options.
