The Growth Initiatives Manager owns cross-functional initiatives that drive business expansion and performance. This role blends strategic planning, project management, and data-informed decision-making to identify and implement opportunities that increase customer acquisition, improve retention, boost revenue, and support enterprise-wide growth. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, results-driven professional who works seamlessly across departments—including marketing, sales, creative, and operations—to align teams and ensure the successful execution of growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support the development and implementation of comprehensive agency-wide and department-specific goals.
- Act as an internal connector across departments, ensuring consistent alignment and collaboration to keep cross-functional initiatives moving forward.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and assess their potential impact on business growth.
- Manage planning and execution of the State of the Magic presentations, ensuring alignment with leadership’s vision and internal communication objectives.
- Assist in tracking KPIs and key milestones related to Growth department initiatives.
- Project Management:
- Plan, initiate, and manage projects that support growth targets, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Coordinate interdepartmental teams by clarifying roles, aligning timelines, and ensuring effective handoffs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track project performance, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, workflows, and communication plans.
- New Initiatives:
- Support the development, implementation, and management of new strategic initiatives and special projects within the Growth department.
- Lead onboarding, training, documentation, and troubleshooting efforts during the development and implementation phases of new initiatives.
- Facilitate the successful handoff of operationalized initiatives to appropriate departments for long-term ownership and maintenance.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze performance data to assess initiative effectiveness, identify gaps, and support iterative improvement.
- Create clear, actionable reports and dashboards that equip leadership with the insights needed to make confident, strategic decisions.
- Support the development of dashboards and visual tools to inform decision-making across leadership.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as a cross-functional liaison and problem-solver—helping teams navigate dependencies, resolve blockers, and maintain alignment on shared goals.
- Communicate project objectives, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensure all processes and procedures are thoroughly documented, accessible, and transferable across teams.
- Develop and maintain administrative systems, including documentation tracking, meeting follow-up, and other responsibilities as needed.
- Market Research:
- Conduct market research to monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging growth opportunities.
- Translate insights into actionable strategies and recommendations that support planning and execution.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably in roles focused on business growth or marketing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with digital marketing channels and growth tactics is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
- Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
Work Location & Schedule
- This role is hybrid, with 2-3 days a week in our Rockville, Maryland location on a typical schedule of Monday - Friday, 9AM - 5PM.
- Travel requirements: infrequent.

- Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 (commensurate with experience and location)
