Overview : We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications, in support of the achievement of ABCorp’s business requirements. You’ll have the opportunity to work with various internal and external partners, while demonstrating your technical aptitude by writing, coding, testing, and analyzing our software programs and applications.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategy & Planning
Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures.
Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
Assist in defining business system requirements and project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users.
Acquisition & Deployment
Liaise with vendors for efficient implementation of new software products or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues.
Assist with scheduling and performing software improvements and upgrades.
Operational Management
Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and / or performance of company applications as necessary.
Design, run, and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purpose of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines.
Train end users to operate new or modified programs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.
Ability to demonstrate strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Effectively communicate with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting and analytical platforms.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including experience writing SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Database Views.
General knowledge of modern programming languages (C#, Java, Python) and key object-oriented design concepts.
General knowledge of web server (IIS, Apache, Nginx) configuration and application deployment.
Prior experience with various ERP (Infor Visual, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) systems is a plus.
Prior experience working with cloud hosted databases in Azure, AWS, or GCP is a plus.
