Medical Billing Coordinator

We are a thriving local medical billing company dedicated to supporting healthcare providers with accuracy and efficiency. As we expand, we’re seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our collaborative team. This is a contract (1099) role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage A/R reports (insurance follow-ups, patient balances, and denials/resubmissions).
• Perform data entry for surgical procedures and daily billing.
• Handle provider credentialing and prior authorization processes.
• Process patient payments and provide exceptional service via phone.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS).
• Conduct occasional local travel to client sites (mileage reimbursed).

Who We’re Looking For:

• Experience: 3 years in medical billing, including coding, A/R, and insurance claims.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems (EPIC, Tebra, or eClinicalWorks is a plus).
• Sharp attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication skills for patient and provider interactions.
• Traits: A self-starter who thrives independently and collaborates effectively. Reliable, organized, and committed to meeting deadlines.

Schedule & Location:

• On-Site Position: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (conveniently located office with a friendly team!).

Compensation:

• Competitive pay commensurate with experience.
