What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grain Technician/Inspector Trainee position at Aberdeen Grain Inspection, Inc.?
Regular Hours Monday thru Friday 4 AM - NOON
$30 per hour weekend/non-regular hourly rate
Applicant would be responsible for breaking grain samples down, using approved dividers, into portions necessary for the inspector to give the grain sample a numerical grade as well as performing tests such as moisture, protein, etc. This would be done at the main lab in Aberdeen as well as traveling to various elevators throughout the state to perform these tests while loading up to 115 railcar trains. Applicant would first be trained as a technician followed by working towards obtaining inspector licenses for grains not limited to corn, soybeans, and wheat.
Applicant would be required to probe railcars as needed.
**Ability to earn vacation time within first month of employment.
**Income Range for Sampler/Technician: $50,000 - 65,000
**Income Range for Inspector: $60,000 - $100,000
